When it comes to preparing for your big day, as a bride you have to think about more than just your dress. Your jewellery, hairstyle and makeup are all just as important.
There’s loads of inspiration out there for all of them, but Hello! recently shared some of the makeup trends you should watch, all of which have come from the royal weddings we’ve had in recent years.
First up is letting your natural beauty shine through, a la Meghan. Daniel Martin, who is a close friend of the Duchess of Sussex, as well as being a makeup artist and Dior beauty ambassador, kept things simple.
He revealed that he used water-based foundation in an interview with Glamour magazine, explaining that this is because “it absorbs well into your skin without becoming oily over time”.
Kate Middleton also kept her makeup relatively pared back when she tied the knot with Prince William. The next suggestion from the magazine is to stay true to your usual beauty style. The publication highlighted Kate’s decision to wear her trademark eyeliner as part of her wedding day makeup.
If you’re planning to have any procedures done before your big day, such as wedding microblading in Hull, make sure you leave plenty of time to not only have the treatment, but for it to look its best too.
There are a host of other wedding trends to keep an eye on if you’re getting married this year, as Lyst recently pointed out in its 2019 Wedding Report. Among them are the rising popularity of wedding dresses with pockets, white suits and hot-pink formal dresses.
