Scarlett Moffatt Makes Fun Of Old Eyebrows On Social Media

Over the years, trends in fashion, make-up and hair all change, with the transformations so subtle that we don’t even notice them happening at the time. But then we look back at an old photo and wonder what on earth we were thinking wearing those flares, rocking super-straight hair or going OTT on cat-flick eyeliner.

Something else that has changed over the last few years is how we do our eyebrows. Whereas the 1990s were all about ridiculously skinny eyebrows, we turned to more natural, fuller brows in the 2000s.

And one star who wasn’t shy about her old look was former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt. The 28-year-old, who has since become a TV presenter, took to social media to post a picture of herself with some friends during her uni days, showcasing much thinner eyebrows than she currently sports.

Alongside the photo on her Instagram account, she wrote to her 1.9 million followers: “Throwback Thursday to a pic of my besties!! I know your [sic] my best friends because you loved me even when I had eyebrows like that.”

The photo, taken nine years ago, saw Scarlett wearing a pair of black hotpants and a pink vest stop. It wasn’t just her eyebrows that were different, but her choice of make-up clearly shows the change in style over the years, as she donned a generous application of blusher and pale pink lipstick.

These days, the brunette can be seen with much fuller eyebrows that have a strong and defined arch, long eyelashes, and more neutral shades of make-up that enhance her natural features.

The former I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! winner will, no doubt, be getting her look ready for jetting off to Australia in the next couple of months, where she will be helping to host the Extra Camp show on ITV2.

If you want to leave your 1990s brows behind you once and for all, why not consider semi-permanent eyebrows in Hull to achieve a more natural look that is bang on trend these days?
