With 2018 almost over, it’s time to turn to the year ahead. While there have been a host of beauty trends that have captured our imaginations this year, there are going to be plenty more in 2019.
Marie Claire recently rounded up the top beauty trends to watch as we move into 2019, and we think many of them are going to be here to stay too.
At the top of the list is what the magazine has dubbed ‘goddess skin’. This is described as “that ‘just-stepped-out-of-a-facial’ feeling with a replenished, restored and refreshed complexion”.
That means getting into good daily habits and taking care of your skin to ensure you always have a good base to build your make-up on, the magazine noted.
Cher Webb, of Pro MUA, told the publication that she believes there will be a greater shift towards using pastel shades around the eyes, while having a strong colour on the lips. But this look won’t require much else, she noted, adding that it will work best when accompanied by “gorgeous balmy skin and natural groomed brows”.
If your eyebrows are thin because you’ve over-plucked them in your youth, you might find that microblading in Hull can give you the natural-looking, thicker brows you’re after.
Another trend to watch in eye make-up, as highlighted by Vogue, is that of the russet colour palette. According to the magazine, the Estee Lauder by Violette Pure Colour Envy Eyeshadow Palette “put a stake in the ground for the russet tone trend that ensued for the rest of the year” in 2018. Don’t expect that to disappear overnight as we move into 2019.
